  • ¼ cup soy sauce Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking chicken.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or vegetables (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Add the chicken pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  • Serve hot over cooked rice or with vegetables. A sprinkle of green onions on top adds a nice touch and extra flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until heated through. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
