Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla wafer cookies
  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, sliced Use ripe but firm bananas.
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping Can substitute homemade whipped cream for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the instant vanilla pudding mix and whisk until well combined and thickened.
  • In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and the pudding mixture.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with the pudding mixture on top.
  • Spread whipped topping over the top layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow it to set.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within 2-3 days, as the bananas may brown over time. For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg between layers. Try adding a layer of chocolate pudding for a twist by replacing half of the vanilla pudding mix with chocolate pudding mix.
