  • 12 oz cheese-filled tortellini Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds creaminess to the sauce.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For sautéing garlic.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the flavor of the sauce.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • optional Chopped parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to thicken for a few minutes.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh and served in warm bowls. Pairs wonderfully with garlic bread or a side salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
