Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut Toasted
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Melted for drizzling

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Topping

  • While the brownies are baking, toast the coconut in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
  • Once the brownies are done, let them cool slightly, then spread caramel sauce over the top.
  • Sprinkle the toasted coconut evenly over the caramel.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the coconut layer.
  • Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store the Samoa Brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. Adding a pinch of sea salt on top of the melted chocolate enhances the flavor.
