  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon yeast Ensure it's fresh for the best rise.
  • ½ cup milk Heated until warm.
  • ¼ cup water Heated until warm.
  • ¼ cup butter Melted.

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together.
  • Heat the milk and water until it’s warm, then add it to the dry ingredients.
  • Add the egg and melted butter. Knead the mixture until it is smooth.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Shape the dough into balls and let them rise again for 30 minutes.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the donuts until they are golden brown.

Filling

  • Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Cool the donuts, then fill them with the whipped cream.

Notes

Serve fresh from the fryer for the best taste. Dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
