  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water For boiling
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice Juiced from fresh lemons
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • ice cubes For serving
  • lemon slices For garnish
  • mint leaves For garnish

Instructions
 

Making Hibiscus Tea

  • In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers.
  • Let the flowers steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Strain the liquid to remove the flowers and allow it to cool.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, fresh lemon juice, and sugar.
  • Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary.

Serving

  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftover hibiscus lemonade in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Adjust sweetness before serving if necessary.
