Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Optional: condiments (ketchup, mustard)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Open the biscuit dough and separate into individual biscuits.
  • Flatten each biscuit and place a spoonful of the beef-and-cheese mixture in the center, then fold the dough around the filling and pinch to seal.
  • Place the bombs seam side down on a baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of each bomb.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite condiments.

Notes

For added flavor, mix in some diced pickles or jalapeños into the beef mixture. Experiment with different cheeses, like pepper jack or mozzarella, for a unique twist. If you want a crunchier outside, bake the bombs a little longer, but keep an eye on them to avoid burning. To store, let bombs cool completely, then place in an airtight container for up to three days.
