Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups beef broth Can substitute with vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream For richer texture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the rice to the skillet and mix well, allowing it to toast slightly for about 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and mix until combined.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your creamy goodness!

Notes

For more depth of flavor, sauté the onions slowly on low heat. You can also stir in grated cheese for a creamier texture. If storing leftovers, let the rice cool before placing it in an airtight container. Best consumed within 3 days.
