Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  • Fold in the oats and chopped Butterfinger pieces.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are perfect on their own or with milk or tea. For extra flavor, add a scoop of ice cream on top. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
