Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup Boursin cheese (herb-infused) Use any flavor of Boursin cheese.
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk Whole milk or your choice of milk can be used.
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs (optional, for topping) Optional for a crispy topping.

Instructions
 

Cooking Macaroni

  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.

Making the Cheese Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in the flour, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Add the Boursin cheese and cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.

Combining and Baking

  • Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni, mixing well.
  • If desired, pour the mixture into a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. To reheat, microwave until warm, or bake in the oven until heated through.
