Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Marinara Sauce and Topping

  • 2 cups marinara sauce Can use store-bought marinara.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • In a large skillet, heat marinara sauce over medium heat.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and stir gently to coat.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt for a few minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. Make sure not to overmix the meatball ingredients to avoid toughness. Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized meatballs.
